Weather presenter battered by Storm Babet on Good Morning Britain as concerned Kate Garraway urges ‘get away’

An ITV weather presenter was battered by Storm Babet live on air as a concerned Kate Garraway urged her to “get away” from the scene.

Nityan Rajan was reporting live from Whitley Bay coast on Friday morning as the rain and wind stormed down on her.

Footage shows sea waves crashing in and rain blasting Nityan in the face as she is nearly knocked over. She says: “Oh gosh you can see the sheer force.”

Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garrway interrupts her and says: “Listen, I am going to give you a warning as your mum. I want you to come away. Your reporting is brilliant and vital, but we are concerned about you.”
