What? This Bollywood Actor Refused the Role of Dumbledore in Harry Potter Series!

When it comes to Harry Potter, the fans becomes emotional thinking about their favourite characters who lived and died in the series. One of the most beloved characters was the Headmaster of Hogwarts Albus Dumbledore.

The character was played by the actor Richard Harris in first two films - Philosopher’s Stone (2001) and Chamber of Secrets (2002). But, due to his death, he was replaced by the actor Michael Gambon who portrayed the role of Professor Dumbledore throughout the series.

But do you know, one Bollywood actor was asked to give an audition for the role?

Yes, the actor is none other than the very talented critically acclaimed Naseeruddin Shah!

Oh yeah, during a Twitter chat with a leading daily, the actor revealed he stood a chance to play Professor Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore. He stated, “My agent wanted me to audition for Dumbledore’s character after Richard Harris died. I was asked if I would like to audition for it. But I wouldn’t audition for it."

What luck!
