Wondering What Happened to Kelly from DCC?Instagram

If you're in the process of binging America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and are absolutely melting down every time someone gets cut from Training Camp, same. Saaaaaaame. But we have a positive update about Kelly Villares, who made it pretty far only to be cut towards the end. And positive update: Kelly fully came through on her promise to keep practicing, and returned to auditions in 2024!

Turns out the DCC is currently in the middle of Training Camp (before you ask: no clue if Netflix's cameras are around to film season 2 of America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders), and they dropped their new rookie candidates. If you scroll through, you'll see Kelly looking amazing in a pic from her solo audition. And yep, she kept the brown hair she got in her first Training Camp "makeover."

This ^ was posted to the official DCC account just two days ago, so keep an eye on whether or not Kelly will make the cut this time around. As viewers of America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders know, there are only 36 spots on the team each year—and with most of those occupied by "veterans," that doesn't leave a lot of room for rookies. However! Between retirements (you can only do 5 years on the squad) and cheerleaders who decide to hang up their outfits early, pretty sure there are at least ~5 ish open spots this year. Plus, it's possible some vets might not make it back for the 2024 season.

Point is: fingers crossed for Kelly! Who, by the way, is still super close to last year's rookies:
