On Feb. 7, 2024, Swift revealed that the Eras Tour will be available to stream exclusively on Disney+ starting on March 15. The streamer also has exclusive rights to her musical concert film Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions.

When Swift originally released the concert movie, she decided to bypass traditional Hollywood studios and partnered with AMC Theatres. In her cover story for Time’s 2023 Person of the Year, she explained her reasoning why.

“We met with all the studios,” she told the publication, “and we met with all the streamers, and we sized up how it was perceived and valued, and if they had high hopes and dreams for it. Ultimately I did what I tend to do more and more often these days, which is to bet on myself.”
