It’s been over 25 years since Sex and the City first brought viewers into the glamorous world of New York City, filled with love, style and, of course, Cosmopolitans.
Based on Candace Bushnell's book of the same name, the HBO original series ran for six seasons from 1998 to 2004. The franchise later expanded to include two movies, Sex and the City in 2008 and Sex and the City 2 in 2010. Despite early versions of a script being in place for a third film, plans eventually fell through.
In all of the installations of the dramedy, Sarah Jessica Parker stars as fashion-obsessed columnist Carrie Bradshaw, along with Cynthia Nixon as high achieving lawyer Miranda Hobbes, Kim Cattrall as publicity expert Samantha Jones and Kristin Davis as hopeless romantic Charlotte York.
