The Who's Roger Daltrey to play at 'megarock' festival by Coachella crew

The Who's Roger Daltrey has confirmed his band's involvement in a three-day rock ‘megafestival', reportedly being backed by Coachella organisers.

According to Rolling Stone, the Coachella team had previously announced that they were eyeing the month of October to showcase some the world's biggest artists: the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, Neil Young, Roger Waters from Pink Floyd, and The Who.

While the other mentioned artists have yet to confirm their participation, Daltrey told BBC 6 Music: "They're all going to be there, on the one spot, at the one time". If the rumours ring true, it will be the first time all the these artists have shared the same stage for one event.

Reports suggest that the event is expected to take place on the weekend of 7-9 October at the Empire Polo Field in Indio, California, where the Coachella Festival took place last weekend.
