Why Sam Asghari Isn't Allowed to Talk About Britney Spears on 'The Traitors'

I think we can all agree that the cast of The Traitors Season 3 is pure chaos—like Dorinda Medley and a random member of the British royal family? We're truly blessed. And rounding out the cast is none other that Sam Asghari, a man best known for being Britney Spears' ex-husband. But he's gonna have to find something else to talk about, because turns out Sam's legally required to keep Britney's name out of his mouth.

According to TMZ, Sam's "pretty much got a gag order when it comes to Britney," which extends to his time on The Traitors. What does this mean, exactly? In short: he's not allowed to speak about her at all—no matter whether it's to say something positive or negative.

As a reminder, Britney and Sam split up in August of 2023 after just over a year of marriage. Sam said in a statement at the time, "After 6 years of love and commitment to each other my wife and I have decided to end our journey together. We will hold onto the love and respect we have for each other and I wish her the best always. Shit happens. Asking for privacy seems ridiculous so I will just ask for everyone including media to be kind and thoughtful."

Meanwhile, Britney wrote, in part, on Instagram, "6 years is a long time to be with someone so, I’m a little shocked but … I’m not here to explain why because its honestly nobody’s business!!!"

Things have been pretty drama-free between these two since, so excited to see Sam what sam brings to the (truly massive) table on The Traitors!
