A woman from Myrtle Beach, N.C., allegedly smashed a nightclub mirror on Sunday after seeing her own reflection in it. She was then arrested by responding officers after presenting a false police badge and now faces criminal charges.

Christa Anstett was dancing in the Ibiza nightclub in Wilmington, N.C., around 1 a.m. when she bumped into the mirror and then began punching it as soon as she saw herself, Wilmington Police Department (WPD) Task Force spokesperson Jennifer Dandron tells Yahoo Lifestyle. It’s not clear whether the woman was intoxicated or if she thought her reflection was another person who had bumped into her.

The woman caused approximately $1,600 in property damage — but she became even more destructive when police arrived on the scene. The officers asked the suspect for identification upon entering the nightclub, so she produced a Coastal Carolina Public Safety Police badge, according to Dandron. But upon further investigation, the officers realized she wasn’t supposed to be in possession of the badge, which was then confiscated.

That’s when Anstett allegedly got aggressive with the WPD task force, which is composed of officers from the Wilmington Police Department and deputies from the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office. The officers went on to arrest Anstett for several crimes: property damage, impersonating an officer and resisting/delaying an officer. She received a $500 secured bond.
