Woman killed after walking onto Highway 417, police say
A 25-year-old woman was struck by multiple vehicles after walking onto Highway 417 Saturday evening, according to OPP.
It happened shortly before 7 p.m. on the westbound lanes near Rochester Street.
The woman was taken to hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
Two drivers remained at the scene, but OPP is looking to speak with the driver of a white BMW that was involved in the collision. The driver may not have been aware of the nature of the incident, they said.
The investigation is ongoing with assistance from the OPP Technical Collision Investigation Team and OPP Collision Reconstructionist.
