Wu Jing welcomes his first son
27 Aug – Chinese actor Wu Jing is now a proud father to a baby boy, after wife, anchorwoman Xie Nan, gave birth on 26 August.
As reported on Apple Daily, the 40-year-old actor recently announced the good news online. "My son has successfully arrived in this world. Both mother and child are safe. Thank you for your concern."
He also uploaded a photo of his son's tiny foot along with the announcement.
The actor, who is currently filming the second instalment of the "SPL" movie, also expressed his thanks to the production for being understanding and letting him return to mainland China to be with his wife during childbirth.
Wu Jing will return to the production as soon as his wife is released from the hospital, saying, "From now on, I will work extra hard for milk money!"
The actor marries TV host Xie Nan (also known as Lola Xie) back in January, and held their wedding reception in Beijing on 11 May.
