WWE's Big E shares update on neck injuryWWE

WWE Superstar Big E has given fans an update two years after suffering a serious neck injury.

Big E has been out of action since March 2022 when he was injured in a match with Ridge Holland after taking an overhead belly-to-belly suplex outside the ring.

On X Big E wrote: "Hey, all! Two year neck scans are in. Things are unchanged.

"My C1 has healed fibrously but has not formed new bone.

"I'm not medically cleared and truthfully, I may never be cleared," he added.

"But I am blessed to be free of pain, immensely happy and otherwise healthy. Life is good."

Last year Big E shared that he had been told by doctors not to wrestle again.

"We did the year checkup, and all that stuff looks great, as well," he said during the SummerSlam media scrum.

"But on the other side, you know, I also talked to spine specialists, some who've worked on people in the company and done their fusions, and they said like, 'Hey, I would not wrestle again if I were you.'

"So, for me, at 37, these are things that I think about, I think about quality of life," he added.

"When I started this job at 23 years old, and probably had a bit of a death wish and was okay dying in the ring. I now, at 37, would like to not die in the ring, I would like to do other things with my life."

Since his neck injury Big E has appeared on WWE TV as an analyst and talking head, including at the WrestleMania XL press conference alongside CM Punk.
