Wynonna Judd Marks 60th Birthday on Instagram by Recreating Sweet Childhood Photo
Judd celebrated on Wednesday night alongside friends like Ashley McBryde, Jelly Roll, Reba McEntire and more

On Thursday, May 30, the "Mama He's Crazy" singer connected with her inner child and got creative to mark her 60th birthday on Instagram.
In the photo, the legendary country singer recreated a photo of herself as a child sitting on a velvet chair, all dressed up and trying on a pair of red heels with a cigarette in her hand. She captioned the photo: "SIXTY. 👠💄✨"
On Wednesday night, fellow country singer Ashley McBryde shared sweet snaps from Judd's birthday celebration.
"A night out to celebrate the birthdays of our guiding light @wynonnajudd and our dear friend @shanetarleton . It’s hard to get me to go out. But for friends like these I’d walk face first into a hurricane to tell them I love them," McBryde captioned the Insatgram post, which included a smiling photo with Jelly Roll, Reba McEntire, Terri Clark and Judd.
Judd commented: "I LOVE YOU SOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Jelly Roll's wife Bunnie XO shared a sweet video from the gathering where she gave Judd a big hug and they engaged in conversation as McEntire watched in the background.
"I adore these icons 😭," Bunnie captioned the most.
Earlier this month, Judd opened up to PEOPLE about the two-year anniversary of her mother Naomi Judd’s tragic death — and how it came just days before she sang the national anthem at the 150th running of the Kentucky Derby.
"I feel her, and I miss her terribly," Judd said about her legendary mother and the sad timing of the much-anticipated May 4 performance. "It's the 'best and the worst of times' kind of thing, where you're keenly aware of where you were and what was going on, on that day."
She continued, "I think about everything differently now, now that Mom is gone."
Elsewhere in the interview, Judd said that she's writing and recording a brand-new album.

"I'm working on a really personal message to the fans,' said Judd. "I've been doing this for over 40 years, and I'm at a point in my life where I'm just so aware of how quickly it's all going by, and I don't know how much more time I have left."
She is also featured on the upcoming Tom Petty tribute album Petty Country: A Country Music Celebration of Tom Petty, collaborating with Lainey Wilson — with whom she's developed a friendship — on the 1980 Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers classic "Refugee."
"I cooked for her the other night," Judd said of the “Heart Like a Truck” singer. "We sat and talked about things, and she said some of the things that she's going through, and I remember the same. Yeah, I've walked this similar path. I've learned to not let people judge. Just to do your own thing and blaze your own trail. That's what I'm trying to do for these other women that are coming up in the music."
