Xbox Is Giving Away TMNT-Themed Controllers That Smell Like Pizza

To celebrate the upcoming release of the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film – TMNT: Mutant Mayhem – Xbox is giving you the chance to win a one-of-a-kind pizza-scented wireless controller.

In a post on the official website, Xbox has announced the “world’s first” controller that actually emits the aroma of fresh (we hope) pizza.

If you want a chance of winning one, all you have to do is follow Xbox Game Pass on Twitter and retweet the official sweepstakes tweet embedded below. The competition began yesterday and will be going on until August 13, so you do have a bit of time to enter if you are interested.

The peripherals themselves have been inspired by the green ninja reptiles (specifically the upcoming film, which is due for release on August 2), with four variations to choose from. Obviously, that means there’s a controller modelled after Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Raphael.

As for the scent itself, the controllers come with a “built-in scent diffuser shaped like a slice of delicious New York ‘za.” No mention on what specific flavor, though.

Also, if you happen to be in New York, you can actually check out the pizza controllers in the Xbox Gaming Lounge at the Microsoft Experience Center on Fifth Avenue. This event will be taking place on August 2 between 4 and 7 pm ET.

We’ve already been made aware that another Xbox controller may be on the way. But this TMNT-themed one is something else entirely. It may sound a bit gimmicky, but if you’re a fan of both Xbox and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, this could be right up your sewer.
