Yeoh from Myanmar to Monaco

4 Jul – International movie star, Michelle Yeoh and boyfriend, Jean Todt, president of the FIA, were among the VIP guests invited to attend Prince Albert II's wedding ceremony in Monaco last Saturday, according to a report by May Daily website.

The outdoor ceremony started at 5pm when the prince and his South African fiancée, Charlene Wittstock walked in. The ceremony ended 2 hours later.

The Myanmar government recently deported the 48-year-old when she flew to Yangon, the country's largest city.

Michelle said she was shocked at the authorities' decision and issued a statement saying there is no reason why she should be expelled.

Still, she said she is not furious and would continue to love Myanmar and its people.

The ban is believed to be related to her film role in Luc Besson's "The Lady", in which she plays the Asian country's democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi.
