YouTube royalty Zoe Sugg and Alfie Deyes are officially engaged after 11 years together

Fans of Zoe Sugg and Alfie Deyes are literally cheering after learning that the British YouTube stars are planning to officially tie the knot.

The famous couple — who have reportedly been together for 11 years and are now expecting their second childshared the news in an Instagram reel on Wednesday.

The black-and-white video shows the two embracing and giving each other a quick kiss as Harry Styles’ “Music For A Sushi Restaurant” plays in the background.

But just before the clip ends, Sugg skips toward the camera and shows off a sparkling new engagement ring.

“couldn’t be happier!!!” commented fellow YouTuber Mark Ferris (@markyyferris).

“Ahhhhhhh yayyyyy!!!” added @alexbriggsmusic. “I’m a day one viewer this is so lovely to see! Congrats!!!!”

Even YouTube’s official Instagram account chimed in on the post, writing: “omg it’s happening!!!! congrats guys.”

When it comes to popular YouTubers, many consider Sugg and Deyes two of the “OGs.” Both vloggers got their start in 2009 and rose to fame on their own before starting to date in 2012. Since then, they’ve amassed a combined total of 8.5 million subscribers who are almost just as invested in their relationship as they are in their vlogs.

Sugg, who also goes by “Zoella” online, earned her fanbase mainly by creating fashion and beauty content, including her wildly popular shopping hauls and makeup tutorials. She later leveraged her fame to publish a debut novel, Girl Online, in 2016, which later became a series and even launched a brunch-themed makeup collection in 2019.

Deyes, on the other hand, started a YouTube channel formerly called “The Pointless Blog,” where he has written, directed and starred in various video challenges, pranks and other “pointless” games for more than a decade. That later spawned a book deal as well, with Deyes publishing an activity guide called The Pointless Book in 2014.

According to Pinkvilla, the couple initially tried to keep their relationship private but their friend and fellow YouTuber Jim Chapman “unintentionally exposed” them by capturing them together in one of his own vlogs.

Eventually, the two bloggers transitioned into relationship content once their popularity — and family — started to grow.

Sug and Deyes welcomed their first child, Ottilie Rue, in August 2021 and announced their second pregnancy in July. Now that news of their engagement is also out of the bag, fans are looking forward to following the couple’s next year ahead.

They haven’t confirmed when they’ll walk down the aisle yet — but that hasn’t stopped people from speculating online.

“I remember Zoe mentioning in a video years ago that she’d love to be able to have her kids at her wedding so that’s probably why it’s taken a while for them to get engaged,” wrote u/queenfeen in a Reddit thread about the engagement.

“I genuinely just thought they didn’t believe in marriage at this point so I was shocked,” added u/el2202.
