Pretty Pastel Please, an Australian YouTuber known for her vlogs, fashion hauls and travel videos, has died at the age of 30.

On Friday, July 5, a post on her official Instagram page revealed that the content creato died in June. Although her cause of death was not specified, her passing was described as "sudden, unexpected and devastating to all who knew her."

"We come to you today with a devastating announcement. It is with a heavy heart that we must inform you that Alex, known to many as Pretty Pastel Please, has passed away," the "In Memoriam" caption read, featuring an image of the YouTuber holding her pet bird.

"This is a shock to us all, and her family and friends have requested privacy as they navigate their grief," the statement continued. "We would ask that you respect their wishes — they appreciate all of your support but need time to heal in private. A memorial will be posted on YouTube and here on Instagram in due course. Thank you for understanding in this difficult time."

Alexandra's last post on the platform was made on May 22, when she announced that she would be regularly streaming on Twitch three times a week. Her last Twitch live stream took place on June 25, and her final YouTube video was published a month earlier on May 21.

The Pretty Pastel Please YouTube channel had brought in over 690,000 subscribers since she uploaded her first video in December 2017.

Describing herself on the platform as "fashion hauls, product reviews, thrift shopping, travel content and a talking parrot," Alexandra's most popular content included a video where she only ate food from a 7-Eleven in Japan for a week, a $500 Wish haul and a video where her bird "whispers" into a microphone for 5 minutes. Her most popular upload (the 7-Eleven video) had garnered over 4 million views.

In the comment section of the YouTuber star's "In Memoriam" post, several fans shared their memories of her, with one writing that she had "a bright and spirited energy."

"It's strange to think just how much she impacted my life even though we hadn't directly met," the fan wrote. "I will still be watching her videos and thinking of her. RIP Alex."

Alexandra had previously spoken on Instagram about dealing with online hate, writing in a December 2022 post that she “can see a thousand positive comments and forget them all the moment someone says they don’t like me.”

In the comment section of her "In Memoriam" post, another fan commended her for being open and wrote that they were "truly sad and heartbroken" about her death. "Her openness and vulnerability around her struggles, her love of animals, and her generous heart is how I will remember her. She was really special and I hope the best for her friends and family as they mourn this enormous loss."
