Yoyo Mung to star in HKTV's "Skynet"

1 Aug – It was revealed that former TVB actress Yoyo Mung will be starring in a new series for Ricky Wong's HKTV station.

As reported on Mingpao website, the actress, who ended her contract with TVB in March this year, expressed her enthusiasm to begin filming the new series, "Skynet" together with co-star, Frankie Lam.

Speaking to the media at the press conference announcing the cast members of "Skynet", Yoyo refused to address rumours of her supposed 7-digit salary for the 20-episode project, saying, "Let's not worry about that. All I can say is that I am thoroughly satisfied with the remuneration."

Asked on her thoughts about the TV license issue that has been plaguing HKTV, the actress expressed, "That is not for us to worry. It is more important to do our job right. In all my years filming series, I have never paid much attention to whether my series will make it on air or not."

"Skynet" is a cyber crime series that will focus on various online crime cases such as cyber bullying, cyber fraud, and cyber security violations. The two stars will be playing officers of the Technology Crime Division who worked together to solve these 21st century crimes.

The series is set to begin filming in September.
