The cast of A Family Affair did some serious — and seriously hilarious — bonding on set!

New behind-the-scenes footage of the Netflix rom-com shows that stars — and onscreen love interests — Zac Efron and Nicole Kidman know that a cast who laughs together, stays together.

In the clip, which Efron shared on Instagram on Friday, June 28, to mark the film’s release, the actor, 36, and Kidman, 57, were unable to contain themselves as they watched costar Joey King nail a silly stunt.

The duo (who play famous actor Chris Cole and his personal assistant’s mom, Brooke, in the movie) giggled uncontrollably as King (who plays Brooke’s daughter and Cole’s personal assistant, Zara) filmed what appeared to be the moment she learns of the characters’ unexpected romance.

As the High School Musical alum recorded, King screamed, hit the doorframe and fell to the floor, cracking up both Kidman and Efron, who watched her go down from behind the camera.

Efron then turned the camera around and, through laughter, said, “Let’s go!”

Also laughing, Kidman then chimed in with a thumbs up and added, “That’s my girl!” as Efron joked that King “does all her own stunts.”

“That was so good,” he added as King walked toward the duo, also laughing.

In the comments, the Kissing Booth star also earned praise from her costar Liza Koshy, who wrote, “No floor pad, NOTHIN. Raw dawg.”

Like Efron’s clip of King, A Family Affair is funny, Efron told PEOPLE. But it’s also “romantic and entertaining,” he said.

The movie marks a reunion for Efron and Kidman, who starred together in Lee Daniels' 2012 thriller The Paperboy — which also saw the actors in some pretty steamy scenes. Efron told PEOPLE that he was nervous working with Kidman as a young actor, and felt similar jitters on the set of their new film.

"I was still a bit apprehensive but reuniting with Nicole is always so great and as talented as she as an actress, she is equally kind, caring and wonderful to spend time with," he said, promising that the duo’s onscreen chemistry in the rom-com is "seamless, natural and fun."

Similarly, stunt queen King told PEOPLE that her onscreen mom is "iconic."

Filming the Netflix project with Kidman, she said, was "truly one of those moments where you have to remind yourself that it’s actually your life and you’re getting to work with this person, and somehow they’re even more wonderful than you could imagine."

As for her dynamic with onscreen boss Efron, King said, "Neither of us [was] afraid of messing up, or embarrassing ourselves because we’re just having fun finding out what works.”

A Family Affair is available to stream on Netflix.
