Zendaya Dressed Up Her Baggy Boyfriend Jeans with a Super-Tight Corset and New Bob Haircut
The star continued her red carpet style domination with an appearance at the Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards on Thursday
Zendaya loves a throwback look, and we love a throwback look for Zendaya.
For the Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles on Thursday, the Dune star showed up in yet another look from a day gone by.
While the look was decidedly more casual than many of her red carpet looks as of late, it was no less impressive. She stepped out in boyfriend jeans(!!!) and a sheer, silver corset from Jean Paul Gaultier Couture Spring Summer 2020.
Image architect Law Roach styled her similarly to the model on the runway, with a dramatic silver choker and silver cuffs — jewels from Bulgari, of course — as well as layered silver belts. She capped off her look with white pointy-toe heels, a departure from the runway look, which was clear platform heels.
The Euphoria star also rocked a flipped-out bob — a huge departed from the relaxed curls she had just last night for the Green Carpet Fashion Awards.

For the Green Carpet Fashion Awards, Zendaya, 27, threw it a little further back in the fashion world, opting for a look from 2011. She wore a Roberto Cavalli gown from the house's Spring Summer 2011 collection. The gray sleeveless open-back silk chiffon crocodile print dress had fringe details and a plunging neckline and the whole garment floated while she glided down the carpet.
Like today's Essence event, she also accessorized with arm bangles from Bulgari, including several Serpenti designs.
These looks both come after Zendaya was named a co-chair of the upcoming Met Gala, which will be held May 6. With a dress code dubbed "The Garden of Time," Zendaya will helm the gala alongside Bad Bunny, Chris Hemsworth and Jennifer Lopez.
The dress code for the event, held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art will honor the Costume Institute's coinciding exhibit, "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion."
