Zhao Wei wins Huading's Best Actress

1 Jun - Zhao Wei triumphs again, winning Best Actress at the 16th Huading Awards recently held in Hong Kong.

According to Mingpao News, aside from Zhao's Best Actress for her role in Peter Chan's drama, "Dearest", the film also became the biggest winner at the event held on 31 May at the Kowloonbay International Trade and Exhibition Centre, winning major categories Best Picture and Best Director.

Zhao, who beat other nominees including Tang Wei, Gao Yuanyuan, and Gong Li, thanked Peter Chan for the opportunity to star in the film.

However, while Gao Yuanyuan lost Best Actress to Zhao, husband Mark Chao, who was unable to attend the event due to his injury, won Best Actor for his role in "Black & White: The Dawn of Justice".
