Zoë Kravitz Embraces the No-Pants Trend with a Sexy Sheer Outfit Made Out of Hosiery
The star attended a Broadway show in the daring, skin-baring ensemble
Zoë Kravitz’s sexy style is ever-evolving.
On Wednesday, April 17, the 35-year-old star stepped out for a preview of Broadway’s upcoming Cabaret revival wearing an all-sheer black outfit consisting of a sheer-bodice minidress, tights and an overcoat. Underneath the dress’ sheer skirt, Kravitz wore black high-waisted hot pants. The look embraced the recent no-pants trend, seen on fellow celebs like Kendall Jenner, Anne Hathaway and Chrissy Teigen.
Kravitz’s stylist, Andrew Mukamal, told Vogue that the actress was wearing pieces from creative director Anthony Vaccarello’s latest collection for Saint Laurent that showcases transparent clothing.
“This look was one of our favorites from Anthony [Vaccarello]'s mind blowing transparency collection for Saint Laurent,” Mukamal told the outlet. “We couldn't wait to find the right moment to wear it. I always love when ordinary items are reinterpreted and transformed into new ideas; This look is made almost entirely of hosiery—a simple pair of tights transformed into a layered and daring look.”
He also shared that the outfit purposefully tied into the theme of the evening.
“Hosiery immediately comes to mind when I think of Broadway and theater, which Zoë and I both love,” Mukamal said. “For the look to be almost completely made of hosiery felt perfectly on theme for the night.”
Theme or not, sheer dressing is second nature for Kravitz. At Saint Laurent's Paris Fashion Week in February, where the transparent collection debuted, the star went braless in a sheer brown midi dress. Fellow attendees Olivia Wilde and Lila Moss also wore daringly sheer ensembles.
For a pre-2024 Oscars dinner and party in Los Angeles in March, The Batman actress bared it all yet again in a sheer black halter gown. The sexy Saint Laurent dress created the illusion of a wrap dress that cinched at her hip. The skirt featured several layers, one of which split into a dramatic slit.
Kravitz brought her sheer dressing to the Met Gala in 2021 where she wore a metal mesh Saint Laurent. The star later shared that she received a great deal of backlash for the revealing ensemble.

In a February 2022 interview with Elle, Kravitz said she deleted all of her Instagram posts after commenters attacked her outfit choice.
"The fact that I'm like, 'Should I have not worn that?' No, I do what I want to do, and I make what I want to make, and if I'm now starting to be afraid of what other people are going to say or think, I'm no longer doing my job as an artist," Kravitz explained. "I'm not experiencing the world and putting that into art. I'm walking on eggshells. F--- that. So, I needed to take a minute."
