5 Fragrances to wear all day

By Maui Drilon for Yahoo! Southeast Asia

You can’t escape the humidity of Singapore, whether it’s blazing hot out there, or about to rain and you sense can the muggy atmosphere that leaves you feeling sticky.

With that, we picked some of the best fresh fragrances that will keep you smelling fresh all day long. What makes for a fresh fragrance? For one, it shouldn’t be too empowering that one sniff will make people wonder if you bathed in it. It should be something you can put on in the morning and not be sick of by the time lunch rolls by.

Bonus tip: Pick scents that don’t contain alcohol — they feel “lighter” and they’re perfect for our all-year round tropical weather.

The Scent: Marc Jacobs’ Daisy Eau So Fresh

Why it’s fresh: It may sound flowery, but it’s actually a fruity interpretation of the original Marc Jacobs Daisy Fragrance launched back in 2007. Expect to be embraced by raspberry, grapefruit, and lychee notes, with a plum-cedarwood-musk base.

The Scent: DKNY’s Be Delicious Juiced Perfume

Why it’s fresh: Don’t think this is the same as the original Be Delicious Perfume—Be Delicious Juiced is a delish mixture of New York apples, peonies, lily and violet floral hearts, with a base of cedar and white amber. It’s refreshing and yet makes the wearer exude NYC-confidence.

The Scent: Ralph Lauren Summer Romance
Why it’s fresh: It’s a floral fruity fragrance with key notes of passion fruit, hibiscus, tiare flowers, and an apricot musk that will make you wish you were on a yacht with the man of your dreams.

The Scent: Vera Wang’s Preppy Princess Perfume

Why it’s fresh: With juicy notes of pink jasmine, peony petals and peach blossom over soft wood and vanilla musk, Preppy Princess was concocted to bring out the inner Upper East-Sider in you. Break out your headband and pearls, and don’t forget the soy latte!
