With National Day just a few days away, Presidential hopeful Dr Tan Cheng Bock has decided to celebrate Singapore's birthday in a special way -- singing "Count on me, Singapore" in a YouTube video.

Posted on his Facebook page, Dr Tan is seen with a young man singing the 1986 National Day song while playing a ukulele.

The video has so far garnered over 100 'likes' and most were heartened by Dr Tan's song dedication to Singaporeans.

However, there were some who felt that the video was cheesy. Yahoo! reader Patrick Ng said: "I like (Dr Tan) and all, but that was (a) pretty cheap antic. Cheesy (to the max). Why did he feel he had to resort to this?"
