16 Mar – Despite losing Best Actress to Thailand's Preechaya Pongthananikorn, Hong Kong actress and "Sara" lead star, Charlene Choi, has received Special Mention at the Osaka Asian Film Festival, which held its awards presentation ceremony on 15 March.

According to Mingpao News, the news was revealed by the actress herself on 15 March via her social media account, saying, "I am so happy to be recognised. This is a milestone in my career."

The actress also expressed her delight with the box office success of "Sara", and thanked the audience for the support.

As for the upcoming Hong Kong Film Awards, Charlene said that she will not think about it too much.

"Winning an award is important, but the support of the audience is even more valuable," said the actress.

"Sara" producer Chapman To also congratulated the actress for her success online after hearing the news.

Meanwhile, Taiwanese film "Meeting Dr. Sun" received the Grand Prix for Best Picture at the awards ceremony, held at the ABC Hall in Osaka.
