Cherie Chung and Maggie Cheung deny conflict

12 Sep – Famous '90s stars Cherie Chung and Maggie Cheung recently denied past rumours of their supposed conflict with each other.

As reported on Sina Taiwan website, on 10 September, the two stars attended an event organised by Dior. However, since Maggie came earlier than Cherie, both stars missed the chance to be photographed together.

Nonetheless, Cherie, who came in later, revealed that she has not seen Maggie for months, but stressed that they have always been good friends.

"We used to mess around in the kitchen too. But now I rarely cook," she said, and added, "Maggie and I have never been in a dispute. It was just a rumour made up by the media. We stayed in touch over the phone and email."

Meanwhile, in a separate interview at the same event, Maggie also dismissed the same rumours, and stated that she and Cherie would occasionally meet whenever she returns to Hong Kong to see her family.

With actor Chow Yun-fat making his return to Hong Kong movies through Wong Jing's "From Vegas To Macau", Maggie was asked if she would do the same.

The elegant star replied, "His activities have nothing to do with me! I am also a firm supporter of Hong Kong films, but in a different way. I love editing films now, although there is still a room for development. The passion that I have for film editing now is how I felt about acting a long time ago."
