Disney confirms "Frozen 2"

13 Mar – Walt Disney has officially announced that there will indeed be a sequel to its Oscar-winning hit animated film, "Frozen".

According to Deadline, Walt Disney's CEO Bob Iger officially made the announcement for "Frozen 2" at the recent Disney shareholder meeting, along with Josh Gad, who voiced Olaf, and John Lasseter, Chief Creative Officer of Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios.

The sequel film will once again be directed by Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck, who previously worked together on the first movie. Lasseter said that the directors "have come up with a great idea for a sequel and you will be hearing a lot more about it and we're taking you back to Arendelle. We are so excited about that."

No information on the release date and production details has been announced yet.

"Frozen" was released in 2013 and has since earned over USD1.2 billion worldwide. In Malaysia, it managed to gross USD3.6 million and USD3.8 million in Singapore.
