Girl’s touching tweets to her dad
"God... The only thing I want is my father... Nothing, but my father. I want my father back."
Maira Elizabeth Nari tweeted this on Saturday when MH370 went missing. Her father Andrew Nari is the chief steward on the Malaysia Airlines passenger jet that was bound for Beijing from Kuala Lumpur.
Maira continued tweeting with hopes her father's plane will be found.
Yesterday, the girl, via her Twitter handle @Gorgxous_ tweeted: "Daddy. You're all over the news and papers. Come home fast, so you could read them! Don't you feel excited?"
"Daddy. It's almost 48 hours. Don't forget to eat your dinner. You must be starving."
"Come home fast, dad... It's the only thing I want."
At about 2am today, Maira tweeted about her father again, remembering how he would tell her to hit the sack.
She posted: "Normally at this hour, before my dad goes to bed, he would tell me this, 'Don't sleep so late okay.' Goodnight, daddy."
Maira's tweets for her missing father attracted the attention of hundreds of other Twitter users. Her tweets were shared by the hundreds as messages of encouragement, concern and hope poured in for her and her family.
Yesterday, Maira expressed her thanks to her family members and everyone for their beautiful prayers and positive support.
"My dad and all the other crew, together with the passengers of MH370, must be so happy that the whole world is praying for them!"
Late last night, the girl also thanked all the strangers who have extended their sympathies.
"Thousands of mentions received. I feel guilty for not replying to each and everyone of you. Thank you for all your support and prayers," she tweeted.
Maira also made a special mention on meeting former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and his wife Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali. She thanked the couple for giving their support to the families of the missing passengers and crew members.
"God bless them," she said in one of her many tweets.
Today, Maira also tweeted that her mother is doing okay.
"She's standing real strong and with the support we received, we're okay," she posted late this morning.
She also tweeted that God is protecting her father and that things happen for a reason.
In one tweet, she also voiced her frustration that some people had been spreading rumours.
"Stop spreading rumours. It's sickening," she wrote. This particular tweet was re-tweeted over 1,350 times.
Maira also asked people not to blame MH370 pilot Captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah for the incident.
"Don't you blame the pilot. It is truly a big responsibility for them as they are bringing hundreds of life behind their back," she said.
In her Twitter account, Maira posted a photo of herself and her father on February 24, and described him as her "true happiness".
"He's my true happiness. I love you through thick and thin, forever daddy."
She also has a July 29, 2013, photo captioned: "This is my father and I & forever will be daddy's little girl."
Andrew is one of the 12 crew members onboard MH370 that went missing while flying from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing early Sunday morning with 227 passengers.
The plane went off the radar at about 1.30am while flying over the South China Sea between the Malaysian east coast and Vietnam's south coast less than an hour after it left the Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
