The Heritage Bintan breaks ground at Lagoi Bay

The Heritage Bintan has successfully broken ground in the much-awaited Lagoi Bay, the ,300ha integrated-resort project in Bintan Island, Indonesia offering a unique hotel experience that complements the full range of amenities within the tropical island destination.

The ground breaking ceremony on 17 June was conducted by master developer Gallant Venture and project developer Stareast Sejahtera Group, the real estate division of Stareast Organization.

The Heritage Bintan is Stareast Group's second hotel offering in Lagoi Bay, following the 196-room Grand Lagoi Swiss-belhotel which began construction this year.

Overall, the new 218-room hotel will have 39 suites, 49 serviced residences and 130 condotel units. Facilities include retail shops, private lounge, meeting rooms, swimming pool, a fitness centre, as well as basement parking.

Upon completion, the four-star hotel will be managed by Singapore's Far East Hospitality along with 41 nearby shop houses at the Bintan Market Place which is set to open in April 2015.
