The Interlace offers fully furnished units from $2.8 million

For homebuyers who want to avoid the hassle of moving in furniture or renovation after buying a unit, it is now possible to live in your new home right away upon purchase.

CapitaLand is currently offering 30 fully-furnished units of varying dcor themes and sizes for sale, making it one of the first developers in Singapore to do so.

The units come complete with furniture, furnishings and even paintings. Buyers of these outfitted units can save the hassle of coordinating the renovations and selecting furniture pieces on their own, Wong Heang Fine, Chief Executive Officer of CapitaLand Singapore (Residential), said.

As part of the CapitaLand Designer Series, the developer worked with five local and overseas interior design firms to deck out the units in five distinctive themes - Asia Chic, Contemporary Classic, Eurostyle Classic, Technicolour and Urban Edge. The series aims to meet different lifestyle aspirations and dcor preferences by offering carefully selected furnishings and furniture.

According to a CapitaLandspokesperson, the outfitted units will be sold from $2.8 million onwards. Targeted at families who prefer spacious layouts, these apartments varies from three-bedroom+family units, four-bedders to multi-generation units, with sizes ranging from 1,873 sq ft to 5,608 sq ft.

We observed that our targeted buyers, with more disposable income and less personal time, would be inclined to go for outfitted units with good interior designs, so that they do not have to spend time and effort to manage the challenges that come with furnishing their own homes, Wong said.

At the same time, the outfitted units can also offer other potential buyers some ideas on maximising and utilising space at The Interlace.

861 out of the 1,040 units at The Interlace are sold as of end August 2014.

Jointly developed by CapitaLand Singapore and Hotel Properties Limited, The Interlace at Depot Road is made up of thirty-one apartment blocks stacked in a hexagonal arrangement to form eight large-scale courtyards.
