Joe Chen denies conflict with Fala Chen
19 Jul – "Triumph In The Skies II" producer Joe Chen recently dismissed rumours about a conflict between Fala Chen and the series' other cast members.
As reported on Oriental Daily, Julian Cheung and Francis Ng were not impressed with the former TVB actress' lack of enthusiasm to attend the series' promotional events.
It was alleged that Fala refused to attend several promotional events that TVB had prepared although busier actors like Francis and Julian were able to do so. The actress also reportedly only attended the promotional event that was held in Malaysia as she was paid a huge sum for her two-day appearance.
In addition, Fala's failure to promote her series online despite consistently updating her Weibo page only fuelled the rumours further.
However, Joe Chen recently dismissed the rumours as false, saying, "Fala is currently studying in a programme in New York. It's not as if she would just graduate after one class. She will promote the series when she returns [to Hong Kong] in August. We have no problem with that."
Meanwhile, co-stars Francis Ng and Julian Cheung also denied having any dissatisfaction with the actress.
