Microsoft unleashes the Xbox Live Gold Rush campaign on Singapore, India, Taiwan, and Korea

When Microsoft puts the word ‘Gold’ in their campaign name, it means it literally; Xbox Live Gold members stand to win a whole variety of exciting prizes, including a 100g solid-gold bar, in the new Xbox Live Gold Rush campaign.

The promotion, which is running from April 21 to June 30, 2014, will also include other prizes such as a collector’s edition copy of Titanfall for the Xbox 360, an Xbox 360 special edition chrome series controller in gold, and an Xbox Live 12-month gold subscription card.

In addition, eight Gold members also stand to win an Xbox Live 12-month gold subscription card and a S$60 ($48) Xbox Live gift card every week.

Just signing up for the membership puts you in the running for those sweet, sweet prizes, and it’s pretty cheap, at S$7.40 ($6) per month.

For those who have never heard of Xbox Live Gold membership before and are only interested now that they are giving out actual gold, the membership entitles you to 36 free games over the span of a year, as well as other entertainment options.

Personally if I won I wouldn’t even sell the gold bar, I would leave it on display in my room to casually show off to people. Like, dude, I have a gold bar. For real.
