Perry's appearance on "Saturday Night Live" over the weekend helped her gain over half a million new followers on Twitter in the last week.

4. Britney Spears
A picture of Spears from her latest video reached over 175k Facebook likes as the singer touches down in the UK.

The YouTube star picked up 75 million views this week as he introduced his new dog in an episode of "Fridays with Pewdiepie."

6. Taylor Swift
Swift opened a $4m music education center and announced a fifth London date to her tour next year, helping her gain almost 1 million new Facebook fans.
