Music Streaming Site Deezer Has Been Busy: Partners With Bose And Revamps New Site!

It’s been a while since we last wrote about music streaming services – it seemed as though companies in this area has quiet down already. The last we wrote about music streaming site was the launch of a new service Guvera in Southeast Asia. Leaders in this space, Spotify and Deezer, didn’t seem to worry much and there weren’t any intensive marketing campaign or active customer acquisition efforts. Not that we know of.

Until now.

Deezer has just announced that it has partnered with an audio products company. Through the partnership, Deezer’s Premium Plus will now be available on all Bose Soundtouch and Soundlink products. As a result of the deal, Bose customers will receive the Deezer service for $4.99 a month with a 30 day free trial for one year rather than the standard $9.99 per month. Bose with Deezer gives subscribers unlimited access to over 35 million songs, so they can listen anytime, anywhere they want.

For Deezer, this is a huge deal for the music streaming company: it now calls Bose a distribution channel, and Bose customers would now be able to discover Deezer, if they haven’t already heard about it.

Deezer has definitely been busy. In July, it entered into a partnership with taxi booking app GrabTaxi to provide GrabTaxi users with access to unlimited music through its Premium+ subscriptions. GrabTaxi and MyTeksi users in Singapore and Malaysia were entitled to win a two-month Deezer Premium+ subscription through a month-long contest. In June, it partnered with Jetstar Airways to offer travellers free premium accounts.

Deezer has 16 million monthly active users worldwide and 5 million of them use its Premium+.

On top of the partnership with Bose, Deezer has also just announced a revamped website: a slicker version with improved user experience:
