Nintendo reveals new Pokémon trailer and nine new creatures

The fifth gameplay trailer for "Pokémon X & Y" previews some of the games' new creatures and their fighting abilities.

Fairy Pokémon Xerneas can summon rainbows from the ground, while fellow fairy-types Swirlix and Spritzee lean towards helping teammates with healing and relaxatory abilities.

Four dark-type Pokémon were also revealed.

Yveltal has a burning Oblivion Wing move launched from high in the sky. Pancham can evolve into the powerful Pangoro and can foresee opponents' moves. Inkay can drain opponents' morale and reverse any of their stat changes, and Malamar wields hypnotic powers.

Finally, water Pokémon Clauncher will be exclusive to "Pokémon X" and Skrelp to "Pokémon Y," but of course owners of one game can expect to acquire the other's Pokémon with the help of fellow players.

"Pokémon X" and "Pokémon Y" are to be released for Nintendo 3DS on October 12, worldwide.
