Petron, Rain or Shine Set to Collide to Start their Second Round

WHAT THIS GAME MEANS

Winning. For one, it is to stay perfect and for the other, it is to bounce back.

The Petron Blaze Boosters made minced meat of the first half of the conference. Winning every game by an average of a little over 6.5 points per game. But, the games are getting closer and closer. We aren’t seeing those blowout games that we used to see from the Blaze Boosters. It could be that teams are starting to learn how to defend them, but that is still a whole lot different from beating them.

On the other hand, the Elasto Painters have been on a bit of a slump. Dropping their last two games to GlobalPort and to Talk ‘N Text, Rain or Shine is out to get back on track. They were looking like a team that was going to be battling at the top of the standings, but right now, they are going to be battling to stay at .500.

WHAT TO WATCH OUT FOR

The ever-growing Petron chemistry

Like what was stated earlier, the games of the Blaze Boosters have been getting more intense. They are all coming down to the finish line. You would think that this might be a cause for concern. Player might be on the verge of killing each other. Guys might be second guessing the coach.

We aren’t seeing that. What were are seeing is this team getting even closer to each other. No fingers are being pointed. Instead, they are hugging it out in celebration and uniting more than ever. What could’ve been a cause for concern for the team is now a cause for concern for the rest of the league.

WHO TO WATCH OUT FOR

Ryan Araña

One of the most underrated players in the league has got to be Ryan Araña. He does so much on the floor for the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters. He scores on the inside, he can hit that three, he also defends the best perimeter player when Gabe Norwood isn’t on the floor. There needs to be a movement to get this man more love!
