MAS unveils new Singapore coins

By mid-2013, expect to see new coins circulating in Singapore. The third series of coins, announced by the Monetary Authority of Singapore on Thursday, will feature images of national icons and landmarks, replacing the floral designs of current coins. The new set will also have enhanced security features such as electro-magnetic signatures so they can be differentiated from fakes and foreign coins.
