Property heavyweights attending Chinese luxury show

China's most prominent invitation-only luxury property show will again play host to affluent Chinese buyers and the biggest names in the high-end market.

To be held at the five-star Legendale Beijing from 16 to 18 May, the 2014 Luxury Property Showcase (LPS) Beijing will feature participants including Savills, Colliers International, Alain Pinel, Knight Frank, Re/Max Prestige, Christies Real Estate and Sotheby's International Realty, among others.

"The world's leading real estate names will once again be attending the show in order to benefit from the growing appetite of Chinese investors toward overseas real estate," noted LPS CEO and Founder Olivier de Treglode.

A total of 80 exhibitors from over 20 countries will be taking part in the event. Properties from some of the world's most exclusive destinations such as Bali, Hong Kong, Monaco, Paris, Venice and New York will be showcased and include private islands, Riviera estates, tropical villas and heritage property.

Aside from a three-day exhibition, there will also be a series of conferences and forums. At the same time, guests will enjoy a grand Italian reception and gala cocktail party.

Given that more than 5,000 visitors are expected this year, LPS Beijing is seen as a major platform for developers and real estate agencies to market luxury properties to China's super-rich.

Emma Symonds, Director of Sydney-based Ballard Property and a former exhibitor, said: "Our previous participation to LPS has been a massive success for our company. We have met many mainland Chinese who are interested in Sydney, Australia."

Meanwhile, PropertyGuru will be the official online media partner for LPS Beijing.
