Ray Lui to sue magazine

18 Jul – Ray Lui is suing a Hong Kong tabloid magazine, Next, for publishing a false report about his marriages, claiming in its latest issue that Ray had three ex-wives where one of them had not been known of before, according to a report by the Daily Chilli website.

"The entire report is wrong! I am absolutely going to sue them," the actor was quoted as telling newspaper Oriental Daily in a recent telephone interview.

The article said Ray had a previous marriage with a woman name Ah Yan and they have two daughters, Lui Sin Ying and Lui Sin Ting, when in fact, Ah Yan is actually the ex-wife of Ray's brother, Lui Liang Kwok.

"The magazine tried to make a story out of nothing and completely distorted the truth. They didn't have any evidence and they also did not bother to verify with anyone."

"(This is) very irresponsible and ridiculous and also affects my family's life, as well as my image."

Ray also said that his wife Yang Xiaojuan is currently discussing with their lawyer for the next step to take.

The "Bund" actor had two unsuccessful marriages with actress Kathy Chow, a former singer-actress, and Cally Kwong, 1982 Miss Hong Kong first runner-up.
