Ride N’ Seek
History Channel's Jaime Dempsey rides across Peninsula Malaysia on her Harley-Davidson seeking adventures involving carpentry, crocodiles, open-wheel racing, off-roading and many more.
The History channel has conceived a show tailored to those who enjoy cross-country adventures from the comfort of their living rooms. Jaime Dempsey, a cheerful American biker girl stars in this new show called Ride N’ Seek.
Jaime rides her Harley-Davidson across Malaysia through small and often by-passed roads in the country to experience the best and most unusual adventures. During this six part series, Jaime also gets to meet local Malaysian celebrities such as former Formula One driver Alex Yoong and DJ/actress Sarimah Ibrahim. She gets to learn how to handle an open wheel race car with the help of Alex while Sarimah takes her on a delectable food trail in Malacca.
Chris Humphrey, Director of Production at AETN All Asia Networks had this to say about the new show, “Ride N’ Seek was an amazing adventure from start to finish. We selected Malaysia as the location for the first series because of its amazing history. It is also geographically blessed with everything from lush rainforests to lovely sandy beaches and mysterious mangroves.”
The entire road trip took about a month to complete, Jaime and her film crew, eight in total, toured peninsula Malaysia visiting states such as Johor, Pahang, Kelantan, Penang, Perak, Selangor and Malacca. Though this may seem like a daunting task for many, Jaime caught the travelling bug at a very young age and has always been looking for new places to go and new things to try.
Previously, Jaime spent six years working as a photographer, which involved taking shots of everything, from architecture to local celebrities. Later on, she worked as a stylist and worked with celebrities such as Pit Bull and Ving Rhames. As unbelievable as this my sound, Jaime took up riding just eight years ago. Currently, she and her gang of SoCal riders take several road trips all year round. Being a passionate biker, Jaime has owned a number of amazing bikes such as the Yamaha XS650, Harley Iron 883 and the Ducati Monster 695.
