Super Junior beat Britney Spears on Twitter

8 Dec – The Super Junior Wave has reached its peak Twittersphere level, as the idol band was ranked fourth on a list of the top 10 trending musical artists for the year on Twitter.

According to Kpopfever website, on 7 December, the Mashable Web site listed the most-talked-about keywords on Twitter according to research conducted by a HootSuite company.

More than 207,518 hash tags were identified and analysed for the research, which revealed the Korean boy band as the fourth most searched among musical artists, overtaking Britney Spears.

Ahead of Super Junior were Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga and the Jonas Brothers. Meanwhile, Super Junior ranked seventh behind the topic of Christmas on the comprehensive top 10 list of all trending topics on Twitter.

Super Junior members are avid Twitter users, and individual members maintain their own accounts.
