SPH cites 254 articles in amended claim against Yahoo!

UPDATED (11 August 2012, 11:15am to report amended claim)

Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) amended its claim against Yahoo! on Friday to say that the internet company allegedly reproduced 254 articles from its stable of newspapers without permission.

In its copyright infringement suit filed against Yahoo! in November, SPH had only cited 23 articles.

Yahoo! has denied the allegations.

SPH’s amended claim comes after Yahoo! reached a settlement in its counterclaim against SPH on the publication of Yahoo!'s original material on the Singapore media firm's STOMP site without permission.

In line with the settlement, Yahoo! has withdrawn its counterclaim, and each party will bear their own legal costs.
