Zhou Dongyu pulls-strings
4 Jul – The public is currently speculating that teenage actress Zhou Dongyu is about to get into the prestigious Beijing Film Academy not because of her exam scores, but because of her connections, according to a report by May Daily website.
She was claimed by netizens at large to have only scored 154 points while the recent passing rate for the exam is 270, and yet would manage to get an admission.
On the other hand, Donyu's agent was quick to respond and managed to clear this up and highlighted that Zhou scored 286 points instead of 270.
"It's more than just test scores that get you in, and who knows what the "hidden rules are", an academy representative admitted when consulted on Zhou's entry into the academy.
