From her musical output to her fashion sense, Lana Del Rey's work oozes style. Even her choice of professional moniker—the star’s real name is Elizabeth Grant—speaks to glamor, with a nod to screen icon Lana Turner.

Since exploding onto the scene with her captivating single Video Games and its ultra-cinematic accompanying music video, Lana has been at the forefront of fashion. Lauded for her distinctive Americana-meets-bohemian-meets-romantic style, she’s been a mood board fixture for millennials and Gen Z fans alike, as well as a frequent collaborator for brands including Gucci and Skims.

Early on, her aesthetic storytelling resulted from a partnership with the stylist Johnny Blueeyes, who worked on music videos, personal styling, album art, stage appearances, and more. Lately, the New York native has also teamed up with stylist to the stars Molly Dickson, which has led to a penchant for everything from vintage to The Vampire’s Wife and Louis Vuitton to a "Beauty and the Beast" inspired Alexander McQueen look at this year's Met Gala.

While Lana was often quoted in early interviews as saying she had no natural fashion sense, her most well-known lyrics often reference clothing and paint pictures of women in complete control of their image. So “baby, put on heart-shaped sunglasses” and “honey, put on your party dress”—it’s time to recap some of this music sensation’s most adored looks to date.

The chart-topper wore a recreation of a seminal McQueen garment from the late designer’s Fall Winter 2006 collection. Lana’s version incorporated a corseted silk dress, a tulle veil, and hammered bronze hawthorn branches.
