SINGAPORE — An adult was hospitalised due to headache and increased heart rate after receiving an undiluted vial of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine at a clinic in Hougang, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said on Tuesday (20 September).

The patient was later discharged, MOH said, according to a report by CNA. Another adult who was also given a full vial of the vaccine did not report any adverse reaction, MOH added.

Each undiluted vial is equivalent to six 0.3 mL doses of the vaccine, according to a Health Sciences Authority factsheet.

The incident happened on 15 September at a clinic under the ProHealth Medical Group.

“The clinic and doctor who administered the vaccine have been suspended from the National Vaccination Programme until further notice,” said MOH, which is carrying out a thorough investigation of the incident.
