"3D Sex" in tears
20 Apr: Moviegoers in Hong Kong are furious that busty soft porn actress Vonnie Lui Hoi Yan did not really expose her nipples as advertised in the erotic film "3D Sex And Zen: Extreme Ecstasy", reported Headline Daily.
Online forums are said to reflect the general complaint that the shot in question lasted just two seconds, while others views indicate that they never appeared at all.
Facing an avalanche of criticism on the Internet, Vonnie burst into tears during a party to celebrate the film's successful box office returns on Monday night.
She said: "I really did expose my two nipples, which was what was required in the contract."
"I don't need to be naked all the time in the film. Why do they target only me? It makes me feel like I'm not an actress, but a prostitute! I feel very insulted."
In an immediate response, film producer Stephen Shiu Jr was quoted by the same source as saying that the DVD release will have the scene lengthened to four seconds.
"3D Sex And Zen: Extreme Ecstasy" topped James Cameron's sci-fi adventure "Avatar" and broke Hong Kong's one-day record for box office takings, en route to reclaiming its producer's earliest record for the highest-grossing Category III movie of all time notched by the 1991 original.
The 3D erotica, touted as the world's first stereoscopic 3D softcore porn before the honour was usurped by South Korea's "Natali", raked in HK $2.79 million (US $360,000) on its first day, according to the Hong Kong Motion Pictures Industry Association.
Earlier, the 27-year-old "Slim Till Dead" and "Love Education" beauty was at the centre of controversy when she attended a press conference for upcoming film at the Film and Television Market (Filmart) at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai with "nothing underneath" by her own admission.
The 36F-cup Vonnie plays the Elder of Bliss in the Category III flick, also starring Japanese pornstars Yukiko Suo and Saori Hara.
Other cast include Leni Lan Yan, Tony Ho Wah Chiu, Irene Chen Chiu Ping, Jason Yiu and Tenky Tin.
