5 most popular condos in April

Sales of new private homes by developers increased to 1,124 units in April 2015, up 83 percent from the 613 units sold in the month before, according to data from the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA).

The jump in April was due to the 1,344 units launched for sale in the month, a 236 percent surge from March (excluding ECs).

The combination of more new units launched for sale and reasonable prices in the increasingly price sensitive market; together drew bargain-hunting home buyers back to showflats, said PropNex Realty.

Aprils sales also indicated that underlying demand is present if prices are attractive, despite the relatively weak buying sentiment, the real estate agency added.
