8M unveils new hotel management arm

Singapore-based property investment firm 8M Real Estate has launched a hospitality management and operations arm called 8M Collective. 8M will now not only acquire and own properties within the hospitality sector, but will also oversee their management. The company says it is a ”natural progression” from its experience and track record in boutique F&B tenant curation across its 42 conservation properties at places including Gemmil Lane, Amoy Street, Hong Kong Street, and Tanjong Pagar Road.

Two properties are already managed by 8M Collective. BASE Residences is a medium- to long-term residential apartment with four units in a conservation shophouse on Hong Kong Street that opened in June 2017; while Ann Siang House is a boutique 20-room hotel that occupies a row of shophouses on Ann Siang Road, and opened in May 2018.

The newest addition to 8M Collective’s portfolio is a row of ten shophouses along Keong Saik Road. 8M Real Estate acquired Wanderlust hotel on Dickson Road in July, and plans to operate the four-storey boutique property under the 8M Collective brand. Both properties are expected to open next year.
