Amy Poehler and Retta had a mini Parks and Recreation reunion!

On Wednesday, June 5, the former costars had a cute moment backstage at Live with Kelly and Mark.

Retta appeared on the daytime talk show on Wednesday to chat about her film, Hit Man, which is now on Netflix. But while she was backstage, she ran into her former castmate. Poehler was on set pre-taping her Friday appearance to promote Inside Out 2, which hits theaters June 14.

The pair posed with each other backstage in a sweet snapshot that was shared on the Live with Kelly and Mark Instagram account in a short montage of moments from their reunion.

In the video, the women are seen posing with hosts Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, both 53, as well as lovingly hugging each other.

The show’s social media account shared a second video of the two stars chatting with each other, who are then greeted by Ripa. “Meeting of the comedic legends,” Ripa declared as she approached the two actresses.

“Hi, Kelly,” a grinning Poehler, 52, replied.

“How are you? Did you meet my friend Retta? You know she’s going to be the next star on Broadway,” Ripa said.

“Oh my God, are you doing something on Broadway?” the Saturday Night Live alum asked.

“No,” Retta, 54, replied through a couple of chuckles.

“No, we announced on the show [she wants to],” Ripa clarified, with Poehler agreeing with Ripa that Retta should be onstage, “She’s the best singer ever.”

Quickly, Retta added, “We’re going to make it happen.”

Retta and Ripa’s conversation backstage was a cheeky reference to their Live interview, in which the comedian shared what Broadway shows she’s seeing while in New York City.

As their conversation continued, Ripa asked the actress if she’d ever consider doing Broadway, with Retta immediately replying, “Yes, I would do Broadway.”

Retta added, “Well, OK, listen. I would do Broadway if there wasn’t a lot of dancing — for me. I got raggedy knees, I don’t need to do all of that.”

“Well, there are a lot of shows that don’t require that much dancing,” Ripa chimed in.

“If I could come out and get to sing and get the hell off, yeah,” Retta concluded.
