Apple schedules huge media event, many announcements expected

Apple's media event 2015

Apple's annual media event has been scheduled for September 9. But there's one significant difference this year: the size of the venue.

Go onto the Apple website, and you'll see only a cryptic screen with "Hey Siri, give me a hint". But for those who have received press invites, a noticeable difference with this year's event is the 7,000-person seating capacity of the venue: the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco.

Every year, around this time, Apple launches a new iPhone, which industry members are expecting again this year. Two, perhaps: the iPhone 6 and a 6S. However, the use of Siri in their media campaign has led to many speculations about the future of the personal assistant device. Another rumor involves the development of Force Touch, which has already appeared on the Apple watch and newer MacBooks.

Meanwhile, if you have an iPhone, ask Siri to give you a hint...
