Ari From 'America's Sweethearts' Is Finally Cheering For A NFL Team

Netflix's new docuseries America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders dives deep into the world of the DCC, looking at everything from the audition process to game-day prep. But as the series shows, the audition process is seriously intense, with women being cut for a range of factors—including their height.

That was the case for Ari McClure, who ultimately didn’t make the team because she wasn’t tall enough to meet standards set by Charlotte Jones, the Dallas Cowboys' executive vice president and chief brand officer.

Ari moved from California to Dallas to try to make the DCC, and went pretty far in the audition process. But how tall is Ari, and what’s she doing now? Here’s what we know.

How tall is Ari from DCC?

It’s not entirely clear how tall Ari is, but it’s also not clear how tall any of the women are. The official Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders website clearly states that “We DO NOT have specific height and weight requirements,” only noting that “you should look well-proportioned in dancewear.”

However during the final round of cuts, Charlotte Jones tells DCC director Kelli Finglass that Ari doesn't fit in with the other women due to her smaller stature. On their previous reality show, CMT's Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team, Kelli shared that it's helpful for the women to be of a similar height for the group's famous kick line.

What is Ari from DCC's job?

Ari was a medical device salesperson for Profound Medical Inc., according to her LinkedIn. She specialized in the TULSA-PRO, which stands for Transurethral Ultrasound Ablation of the Prostate, a minimally invasive, same-day procedure for men with prostate disease. She was also previously a Laker Girl, dancing for the NBA team at home games, local appearances, and community events.

The California native moved to Dallas in 2022 to try to make the DCC, sticking around Texas after she was cut the first time. Before the show, she was training and taking classes with other DCC women.

Now, Ari is an account executive for Hoop5 Networks, per her LinkedIn. She began the position in January.

Does Ari make DCC?

Unfortunately, no, Ari did not end up making DCC. While her solo performance blew the judges away and she was one of the final 45 dancers selected to enter training camp, she didn’t make the final cut.

When Kelli and choreographer Judy Trammell met with Ari to give her the bad news, she was super gracious, saying, “I just wanna thank you guys for everything.”

What is Ari from DCC doing now?

Clearly, Ari is talented, and that didn’t go unnoticed by another major organization. She’s now a cheerleader for the Miami Dolphins, she announced on June 22.

Best of all, Ari seems super happy in her new role. “I am so fortunate to be lead by such amazing women and I couldn’t be more excited for what’s to come,” she wrote on Instagram. “Fins up BABY!!!!!”

Congrats, Ari!
